Ceremony Types
- Legal Weddings: In accordance to the marriage laws of the Burgerlijke Wetboek van de Nederlandse Antillen;, “a marriage is legal when it is acknowledged by law between one man and one woman above the age of 18 and has been conducted by a civil officer, which generally creates legal responsibilities between both parties”. - Cruise Ship Weddings: Sint Maarten Marry-Me cater to 95% of the cruise lines that call on our port. Civil unions, Holy matrimonies, Symbolic unions as well as Vow Renewals are also conducted for cruise ship passengers who would like to get hooked on our beautiful island, although they are here for less than one day. St Maarten Marry Me has partnered with St Maarten Port Authority and The Wedding Experience* to pull off the perfect dreamed Destination Wedding.
- Off board ceremony
On the day of the wedding the Bride, Groom and guests are picked up at the hang way of the harbor by our cruise specialist(s) and take them to their desired wedding venue where Sint Maarten Marry-Me staffs have organized all wedding details based on the information received from The Wedding Experience*.Many options are available after the wedding ceremony: A Cocktail or Lunch at the Ceremony venue, to be drop off in town for shopping, Island Tour, enjoy one of our beautiful beaches or simply return back to the ship. - On board ceremony
On the day of the wedding Sint Maarten Marry-Me will board the ship and organized all wedding details based on the information received from The Wedding Experience*. The bride will be accompanied by the CPA (Cruise Program Administrator) of the ship. After the ceremony and reception conclude Sint Maarten Marry- Me staffs disembark the ship.*The Wedding Experience is the exclusive wedding service provider for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Windstar Cruises and Holland America (Europe), as well as select ports for Carnival Cruise Line”. They pre- arrange everything prior and during the cruise, and in collaboration with the information received from them Sint Maarten Marry- Me pre-arranges everything regarding the wedding preparations on land.For more information please contact us
- Blessing Ceremony: This is a ceremony conducted under the couple religion such as: Catholic, Jewish, Indian, Muslim, Non Denominational. Etc.
- Renewal of Vows: This is for any legally married couple who wishes to re-commit themselves to each other after being married for a number of years.
- Symbolic Wedding: This is a ceremony where the couple expresses their love to each other without being legally bounded.
