When we first started this journey we knew there would be some challenges just given the location and our own lack of proximity. After flying down to see you for the first time in April ’09 we went back to NY relaxed and confident, knowing we would have a beautiful wedding. While our October trip was just another reason to visit for a long weekend, we loved seeing everyone and getting everything squared away. While not a control freak, I (Shannon) am naturally an organizer and like to plan my events, but as mentioned before you give up some control in situations like this and prepared myself for it. It was so refreshing to let go of certain things like the flowers, knowing they would be beautiful. On the day of the wedding I just about cried when I saw them – they were gorgeous! You provided ideas and guidance when you thought we needed it or asked, reminded us about decisions to be made when we would forget and thought of details we would’ve never thought about. This was truly priceless to us. Every single picture we have of that day has each guest with a huge grin on their face. We’re pretty sure each of them commented on how organized and friendly your team was – along with how wonderful everything turned out and what a beautiful job you did. Our wedding was beautiful and everyone had a great time at the reception after – as far as we’re concerned, Mission Accomplished! When we arrived on Wednesday to an island and hotel that we had never been to, you were a familiar presence (although we had never met), as we walked through the locations and timing of our weekend full of events. The rehearsal dinner on Friday night was beyond our expectations…a beach BBQ with tiki torches and the street pan musician really set the tone for our weekend. Our Saturday wedding ran smoothly thanks to you and your staff…the setting and décor for the ceremony was outstanding…from the rose petals and hurricanes in the aisle to the backdrop of the arbor for our vows to the violinist. Our officiate was also amazing…we probably got the most raves from our guests regarding the ceremony. Her readings were so heartfelt and true…We will never forget closing our eyes and opening up our “new suitcases”. The cocktail hour and reception were also wonderful…the centerpieces were perfect; the music was as we had requested and the hurricanes made the setting glow. I can relive all of these details so vividly because Carlos (our photographer) was absolutely the best. He was able to capture every person and the true essence of both nights, and at the same time was completely unobtrusive. We have never ever experienced such wonderful and helpful people in our entire lives.
